Cost of war is the amount of money a nation or country has to pay to finance a war. One main reason I choose this topic is because I was curious to see how much a war actually costs. Wars can cost countries millions or even billions of dollars and can cause an economy to fall apart. The two wars that the United States is fighting now cost around 1 billion dollars together and that number continues to rise every minute. At this rate, the United States is probably going to fall deeper into debt. These wars wont only effect the United States they will effect the entire planet. Other countries economies get effected when we spend money. Also, Joseph Stiglitz said that as of February of 2010 we have spent anywhere from 2 billion dollars per week to 12 billion dollars per month. With all this spending Stiglitz predicts that the war in Iraq will reach over 3 trillion dollars alone. Wars dont just cost a lot of money, they also can effect the price of different items. Before the start of the war in Iraq the average price for gasoline was about $1.50 but after we invaded Iraq it went as high as $4.10. This effects the United States in a big way because most Americans own a car or even multiple cars. I think that all this spending is ridiculous. I think that we should spend the money more reasonably like some on health and education. I think by using the internet and blogs more people will agree with what I am saying
